ForGood Carbon represents a unique and meaningful approach to addressing climate change by focusing on genuine carbon removal with verified co-benefits. Unlike traditional carbon markets that primarily deal with offsetting current emissions, FGCUs specifically target the retirement of high-integrity Australian Carbon Credit Units for the purpose of reversing historical emissions.
This is a compelling initiative; donations contribute to implementation and commercialisation of research for atmospheric GHG reduction with concatenated co-benefits, decoupled from a current or future emissions profile.
The project’s emphasis on verifiable co-benefits sets it apart from standard carbon credit initiatives.
